Back to work

We travelled to the MNDA headquarters in Northampton to agree a marketing plan for the Giro di Muscoli. It was like turning back the clock. We were back ‘at work’. Find the customer location, sign in at reception, business language, meeting notes, follow up actions etc. It was all very familiar even if it was nearly six years ago that we retired.

We met with Pam Fry, Russell Spivey and Vicky Payne to formulate the plan, but not before a chance encounter with Sally Light the Chief Executive. She spotted my Islington Cycling Club jersey. Her partner, an ICC member, is riding a tandem around the world to raise money for MNDA and Oxfam. They are on target to break the world record. https://www.tandemwow.com. Small world.

The plan starts with a campaign to get as many UK riders as possible to join me for the Grand Départ on Saturday June 6th from London to Harwich. You can register here: https://www.girodimuscoli.com. Click on ‘Register now’ to help fight this terrible disease.

If you can’t ride then feel free to make a donation: https://justgiving.com/fundraising/girodimuscoli
