As I posted in A Fresh Start we have moved to an area where we know no one. What better way to make new friends than to join a cycling club. That worked so well with Tenterden Cycle Club (TCC) that I decided to join another.
Rye and District Wheelers Cycling Club (RW).
I’ve ridden with them a couple of times. Slightly faster paced than TCC but equally sociable.
They too have introduced me to the stunning scenery of Kent and East Sussex, interesting coffee stops (top notch banter at the table) and pubs.

I’m now a member of three clubs in the UK and one in Italy. They all have one thing in common. None are on my doorstep. Each club ride means between a 30 and 50 minutes ride to get to the start/finish.
I’ve made life long friends at Islington Cycling Club and La Centinarolese. I have no reason to think that Tenterden and Rye will be any different.
