Photo: The quickest visit to Venice possible.
Normally I try to think of something a little more interesting to say about my rides. This time it all went to plan with no incidents.
I had one objective in mind. To see if I could ride for 600km / 28 hours without sleep in preparation for Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP).
I left the house at 17:30 (the same as my PBP start time) and rode to Venice through the night, took the photo, then cycled back again. That’s it. I answered my question. Yes, I can still cycle a long way with out sleep. 601km in under 27 hours suggests I’m ready.
No reflections on life this time, just job done.
